Are you a hungry student in this cashless society?
Well, we have something for the rumbling of your pitiable stomach.
With yet another semester rolling in, it is befitting to write about a salvaging passion for university students everywhere, a lingering question, that is never answered for good – what to eat? Actually, the question holds good for anyone.
At Delhi University’s North Campus, student hangouts come in all shapes and sizes. Let’s take a look at some of the easiest on pocket eateries located in and around North Campus.
Here are 5 delightful food joints in Delhi’s North Campus, the paradises priced ever so slightly on the higher side.
1. Maggi Maggi Maggi
Our first stop is a little roadside kiosk, Tom Uncle’s Maggi Point near Daulat Ram College. This place is what comes to a student’s mind when one talks about maggi. Maggi with all sorts of different varieties, which are around 20, is served here. This place is the legacy of Delhi University with undying taste and remarkable food quality even after so many years. This place has been popular for ages and is really cheap. Must visit if you are a really diehard lover of Maggi. A trip to north campus is always incomplete without eating from this Maggi point.

Our third stop is a small shack just opposite Patel Chest Institute. If you’re craving some crisp momos, then Mangal Lama’s ‘Momos’ is the place to be. With sweet and spicy tomato chutneys, Lama sells three varieties of momos — veg, non-veg, and paneer. Easily missed, this neatly tucked away eatery is just outside Patel Chest Institute. It’s run by a young boy. Though not so much a kiosk, it is essential with the mouth-watering variety of momos with spicy sauce and mayo that doesn’t tear a hole in your pocket.

The two-decade-old joint is frequented by other people too owing to its strategic location near Vishwavidyala metro station. The stall opens at noon and closes at 7.30 in the evening.

He sells around 7-8 Kgs of cookies each day. What’s best is that it comes cheap and this suits DU students just too well. Popularly frequented by university students, the price range is too low. A plate of Kulcha comes with two coriander-sprinkled; butter greased fluffy Kulchas served with spicy Chhole. The Kulchas when eaten with the homemade pickle taste absolutely delicious.
