Ambiance: Cafe Hawkers, a beautifully decorated cafe located near Odeon Cinemas with an attentive staff made our evening the one to remember for long. Cafe hawkers is a year old cafe serving drinks on their MRP. They’ve got two seating spaces from front side and backside. The place has 2-floor seating. Few weird size tables to make you lean forward throughout so you can talk to the person sitting in front of you. Music isn’t very loud, unlike other places where you can only see the lips moving! This place isn’t much expensive as compared to other players in CP.
Menu: The quantity or the food portion of the dish they provide is outstanding. Drinks are served here on MRP so that’s a complete win. A decent place for brunching out when you’re roaming in CP.
What we had: Kink in the air was calling for some comfort food, so we ordered the bowl of goodness i.e. spicy cheese and herb potato wedges worth INR 285. This dish looked the yummiest but to little disappointment; wedges were fine however the cheese got very dry and sticky. They should work more on adding a little spice to the food. Then we ordered ‘Grill Zucchini, Mushroom, Caramelized Onion and Smoke Cheese Grilled Focaccia Sandwich’ worth INR 235 which didn’t live up to our expectations.
In drinks, we ordered ‘hot chocolate’ worth INR 175 and ‘Passion Fruit Cooler Mocktail’ worth INR175. The mocktail happened to be the only saving grace for us. It was very refreshing.
Service: Staff was welcoming and provided quick services.
Recommendation: Overall, there are a lot of lounges and pubs at Connaught Place but if you are looking for a pocket-friendly yet a hip place, this is what you should try.
