Where to eat in Udaipur
On my Udaipur trip I was staying with my friend, so most of the time we cooked our food, but we wanted to have dinner on the Lakeside restaurant, so we went out for dinner one night. Today in this post I will share my experience of dinner on Lakeside.
Name: Hari Garh Restaurant
Address: Hanuman Ghat, Outside Chandpole, Pichola, Udaipur
Cost for two: Rs. 900 (Approximately)
Ambience: The ambience is what will amaze you the most. The view of Lake Pichola is nothing less than breathtaking. The seating area is comfortable, and the view is astonishing.
Comfortably seated, looking at the lake, the lighted bridge on one side and illuminated ghat on the other side, the reflection of lights in the lake will keep you mesmerized, what else one can ask for?
We were actually looking for a restaurant which has a good view of Lake Pichola and will not cost us too much, because obviously, we were on a budget. 😉 So if you are looking for the same kind of experience then this restaurant is perfect.
Menu: They have a variety of North Indian and Chinese food. But we noticed that maximum dishes on the menu were North Indian, which I think is not a bad idea if the quality and taste of food is good.
What we had: After a day of several long walks we were very tired and just could not think of anything, so we ordered food randomly. We had Kashmiri Pulao, Kadhi, jeera aloo and chapatti. And let me tell you if you thought that this restaurant has just amazing ambience then you are absolutely wrong. The food was delicious, not at all extra oily, and not too spicy, it was great. But we were too hungry and too tired to click photographs (it happens sometimes).
Overall I really enjoyed the food in this restaurant.
Service: Service is what I think they need work on little. The staff is humble and friendly but it took a little while for them to serve our order.
Recommendations: Want to have a dinner with a view? Then this is the place, and one plus point, as the restaurant, is not at all expensive. So I would just say go for it.
