Plot: On his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne finds his home in terrible condition, the front door is open, the coffee table shattered, books scattered and his wife Amy is missing. Police suspect him of murdering his wife. But he swears that he has done nothing. But there are some things which Nick is hiding from everyone. He refers to his wife in past tense, he lies to everyone, little lies which do not really matter, or they do? For media, police he is the antagonist of Amy’s life. A cruel, mean husband who killed his beautiful wife.  But despite all his little lies, has Nick really killed Amy?

The book switches between Nick’s narration of his wife hunting and Amy’s diary describing her relationship with Nick.  And gradually the story converges.

My review:  This book allured me from the beginning. It was arduous to keep this book aside, and I abruptly got enslaved in the Nick and Amy’s world. The thrill and suspense that it created made me crave to read more. Questions like what happened to Amy, is she dead or alive? Kept on torpedoing my mind. I loved the story, I loved how the author narrated the story from both Amy and Nick’s point of view, and I loved that my guesses kept on changing after every chapter. With unforeseen twist and turns, thrill and mystery, this book is a must-read.

You will hate the characters, then feel bad and sympathise with them, that is the kind of impact it will leave on you. Overall I would say that I really enjoyed reading this book.

Recommendation: This book is definitely worth reading. Whether you like suspense books or not this book will make you fall in love with it instantly.
